This report is the final report of the research for the assessment of forest pests and diseases in Protected Areas of Georgia, conducted between June-December 2014. The literature review and analysis of the existing information about the boxwood decline and Imeretian oak dieback around the world and in Georgia were conducted.The literature review and analysis of the existing information about the boxwood decline and Imeretian oak dieback around the world and in Georgia were conducted. The field research was conducted in June and October 2014 on the territories of examined Protected areas. The processing and the preparation of the collected samples were carried out in the Laboratory of Forest Protection of the Forestry University of Ukraine for further laboratory analysis.One of the main results is an observation of the massive decline of boxwood forests as observed in Mtirala National Park and Kintrishi Protected Areas.
