Labour Migration from the Eastern Partnership Countries: Evolution and Policy Options for Better Outcomes

A synthesis paper providing an overview of the main results of the six country papers produced under the first phase of the study ‘Costs and Benefits of Labour Mobility between the EU and the Eastern Partnership Countries’, produced by the Centre for Social and Economic Research (CASE) for the European Commission. The objective of the study, reflected in this paper, is to analyse the current and potential costs and benefits of the labour migration from the Eastern Partnership Partner countries (EaP), to explore the potential for future new rules on mobility with EU countries, and to provide policy recommendations to enhance the benefits stemming from such flows.
